Louie's Story

Meet Louie! Due to no fault of his own, Louie had to be returned to the rescue. He is such a sweetheart and is a Lab/Pointer/pit mix, Male, 4 yrs old, and about 54 pounds,
fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and heartworm negative.

Now here is a pup who will keep you thoroughly entertained and laughing at his silly antics! He is funny and sweet--and loves to run and play with anyone who will engage with him! Louie was rescued from Walton County shelter in Monroe, GA, when so many folks decided to dump their dogs for the holiday. This poor dog was kept outside all his life so it's really a blessing when he was surrendered to the shelter. Now Louie can have a good life with an owner who will keep him inside as a companion and he will certainly make a great one! Always eager to please, Louie has already learned his commands and is now housebroken and crate trained. He is great with other dogs and loves to play fetch, although he still needs work on the "return"! Louie also makes a great traveling companion; he is a perfect passenger and navigator! Louie will also need a fenced in yard so he can run his zoomies! If you are interested in fostering or adopting Louie, please email adoptionsecondchance@gmail.com or text Ann at 757-630-6181.

Second Chance Habitat's Adoption Policy
Our goal is to match each of our rescue dogs with a safe, loving, and permanent home. To ensure the best fit for both the dog and the adopter, we require a completed adoption application, three personal references (including your current veterinarian), and a home visit, either virtual or in person. If you do not have any pets, then the request for a vet reference does not apply. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we put our hearts into every adoption. For more information about our adoption process, please visit www.secondchancehabitat.org/adoptions Thank you for choosing to rescue and save a life!
