Louie's Story

Louie is a two year old mix currently looking for a forever home through no fault of his own! He previously went to his trainer for general manners and behavioral training and though no fault of his own, he is needing a new home.

He was previously fearful of all new things and would flee. Now he is curious but cautious, very affectionate and friendly and quite active. He will always need support and an advocate from his owners in unfamiliar situations, as most dogs do. He is playful and generally submissive with larger dogs, and sometimes needs help when uncomfortable so he can take a break.

He is prey driven towards smaller animals, so a home with free roaming small pets is NOT recommended without proper supervision, training and management. He can climb and jump fairly well.

He does love cats. Sometimes too much, if you ask them. He would love to play with them. A cat that can stand up to him or put firm boundaries in plays would be ideal.
