Lou is a smart, affectionate Malinois/Dutch Shepherd–type with a big heart and a VERY bright mind. This handsome boy absolutely leans in for affection, enjoys being close to his people, and has a gentle, thoughtful way about him that really stands out.<br/><br/>Lou loves treats and takes them politely, walks well on a leash, and already knows sit and down — including transitioning smoothly from a down to a sit when asked. His intelligence and eagerness to engage make him a joy to work with.<br/><br/>In playgroup, Lou has shown himself to be social, playful, and an easy greeter. He can get a little enthusiastic during play (nothing unusual for a working-breed dog), but he reads other dogs well and responds appropriately. He did great with calm dogs, handled high-energy greetings without reacting, and showed excellent manners when another dog fully submitted. He also does well at fence greetings with both male and female dogs.<br/><br/>Lou is best suited for an experienced working-breed home so he can continue to thrive and shine.
