Lottie's Story
🌟 Meet Lottie: The Sweetest Tripod You’ll Ever Meet
🎂 Age: 2 years old
🐶 Breed: Bluetick Coonhound Mix
⚖️ Weight: 40 lbs
Lottie has been through more in her short life than most dogs ever should. After being found injured and suffering from a severe leg injury, she underwent a front leg amputation that ultimately gave her a second chance at a pain-free life. Through it all, Lottie has remained nothing but gentle, loving, and endlessly trusting.
One look from her big brown eyes and floppy ears will completely melt your heart.
Lottie wakes up each morning ready to shower her people with love. In fact, she insists on receiving the proper amount of morning kisses before she’ll even head outside to potty. She greets her family with sweet hound howls and believes every person she meets is simply a friend she hasn’t met yet.
At less than two weeks post-surgery, Lottie is still focusing on healing and recovery. Right now, her favorite activities include lounging on the couch, soaking up affection, and being close to her people. She’s not particularly interested in toys, but she absolutely thrives on love and companionship. We can’t wait to watch her confidence and personality continue to blossom as she fully recovers.
💉 Veterinary Care
Lottie is:
✅ Up to date on vaccinations through 5/27/27
✅ Receiving ongoing post-operative care following her leg amputation
🏡 Ideal Home
Lottie is looking for a family that will spoil her with affection and include her in daily life. She is incredibly adaptable and would fit into many different home environments, provided there is plenty of love—and preferably a couch or two designated for her use.
A fenced yard would be ideal, as Lottie enjoys greeting neighbors and making new friends wherever she goes.
🐾 Compatibility
❤️ Loves people of all ages
❤️ Does well with other dogs
❤️ Friendly and social with new people
❓ Cats unknown
🍖 Special Notes
Lottie has developed some strong opinions about food. After receiving countless medications hidden in treats and meals during her recovery, she has become quite the food detective. She carefully investigates every bite and is remarkably skilled at locating hidden pills.
Her current favorite treat? American cheese slices.
✂️ Grooming
Lottie has no special grooming requirements beyond occasional brushing and routine care.
🎓 Training
Lottie has experience with a crate and is continuing to work on house training. Recently, she has been left loose overnight and while her foster family is away, with only two accidents reported. She continues to make excellent progress and responds well to consistency and routine.
❤️ Why You’ll Love Lottie
Lottie is the definition of resilience, forgiveness, and unconditional love. Despite everything she’s endured, she remains one of the gentlest dogs we’ve ever met. She doesn’t ask for much—just a soft place to rest, a family to adore, and plenty of kisses.
Any family would be lucky to call this sweet girl their own.
📋 Apply to adopt Lottie: https://linktr.ee/uudogrescue
DS# 403072
