Lorenzo's Story

Meet Lorenzo — Your Tiny, Devoted Adventure Buddy

Looking for a loyal little companion with a big heart? Let us introduce you to Lorenzo, a 2.5yearold Chihuahua mix weighing in at just 10 pounds—but don't let his size fool you, this guy is full of love and personality!

Lorenzo is the total package: microchipped, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and a proud graduate of Houndsman Canine Academy. He's put in the work and it shows—he's fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, knows commands like sit, recognizes his name, and happily comes when called (or even whistled for!).

Like many Chihuahuas, Lorenzo can be a bit of a sensitive soul. Big changes can make him nervous, and he takes a daily dose of gabapentin to help him feel his best. But with consistency, patience, and a calm environment, Lorenzo truly shines. Once he trusts you, you'll discover just how affectionate, loyal, and deeply loving he is—he bonds hard and loves even harder.

This little guy enjoys walks, exploring, and tagging along on adventures, and he does well with other small dogs and confident cats who respect his space.

Because of a past incident where Lorenzo bit a previous female owner, we recommend a child-free home and adopters who understand the importance of structure, boundaries, and continued confidence-building. In return, Lorenzo will reward you with unwavering devotion and companionship.

Lorenzo is searching for a forever home that offers:
Consistency and routine
A calm, loving environment
Patience while he continues to grow in confidence

If you're ready to open your heart to a small dog with a big capacity to love, Lorenzo might just be your perfect match.

Interested in adopting Lorenzo?
Please fill out a Statement of Interest on the Alternative Humane Society website.
Give this sweet, deserving boy the stable, loving home he's been waiting for—he's ready to give you his whole heart.
