Lorek in TN - Happiest Getting Attention!'s Story

Lorek has an old soul, a sprinkle of puppy energy, and a whole lot of love to give! This big, beautiful boy was found running down a highway in Nashville, TN, but those wandering days are behind him - now he's ready to find his forever home and become someone's devoted shadow. Lorek is wonderfully well-mannered - he’s housebroken, leash trained, and kennel trained, and he knows "sit" and "heel" (when the mood strikes, as any self-respecting Pyr will tell you), and he's working hard on "stay." His activity level is a happy medium - laid-back and relaxed about 90% of the time, with zoomies at least once a day just to keep things interesting! A 5-foot fence will keep this gentle giant safely in the yard. Lorek lives comfortably beside two male Pyrs and is non-reactive around his foster family's pony, mini donkey, and alpaca. He's even unbothered by the neighbors' chickens! He's loving with the resident cats and will occasionally want to play. He would do just fine as an only dog as well. Lorek isn't much of a barker - his foster has only heard him bark once! His preferred form of communication is an adorable whine when he's feeling a little attention-starved. Speaking of attention, that's truly what this boy lives for. He has zero interest in toys, but put him next to his favorite person and he is in absolute heaven. He loves tagging along for barn chores, and has shown no interest in digging. Oh, and if you really want to win his heart?… Offer him a spoonful of yogurt! Lorek's ideal home would be with someone who has plenty of time and presence to give - a work-from-home professional or a retiree would be his dream match! He'd love a home with a backyard where he can stretch those long legs. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle, low-drama companion who just wants to be by your side every moment of the day, Lorek just might be your perfect boy.

NYS Registered Rescue # RR102
NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
