Lopez's Story
Lopez is trying very hard to learn how to trust the humans in his life. He no longer runs away if we look at him. Instead, he runs toward us, wiggling his entire body and smiling from ear to ear. Instead of hiding when we offer him treats, he now takes them gently from our hands. Now, when we talk to him, he doesn't tuck his tail and cower, he runs to us with all of the wiggles and smiles. Touch is still scary, but he's learning to accept it. New things are still scary, but he gets braver every day.

He gets along with other dogs, and is a bit perplexed by cats. His ideal family would be patient and committed to continuing the work building his trust and his confidence. The rewards will be great with this one.
