Lola's Story

Meet Lola!

This beautiful, gentle soul was given a second chance at life just in the nick of time, and now she's searching for a forever home where she can finally feel safe, loved, and cherished. With her incredibly sweet nature, Lola is ready to find that special someone who will show her just how wonderful life can be.

Lola's story nearly had a heartbreaking ending. At just 2 years old, she found herself in a shelter's euthanasia waiting room, scheduled to lose her life simply because she was too frightened. Thankfully, rescuers learned of her situation and stepped in at the very last moment, saving her life and giving her the chance she so desperately deserved. Once she arrived in her foster home, it quickly became clear that behind all that fear was an incredibly loving, gentle girl.

Lola has shown what a special dog she truly is. She's naturally shy and submissive, and while it may take her a little time to come out of her shell, her sweet personality begins to shine once she feels safe. She's the kind of dog who forms a beautiful bond with her favorite person and finds comfort in simply being close to them. Whether you're relaxing on the couch, working from home, or enjoying a quiet afternoon, Lola would be perfectly happy just being by your side.

Lola is approximately 2 years old, she is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She's housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, and has shown no reactivity toward other people, dogs or children. Although not cat tested, given her sweet and gentle demeanor, we think she'd do wonderful with cats. She enjoys getting outside for walks and exploring the world, but she's equally content spending a lazy day indoors, soaking up the comfort of home and the company of her favorite human.

Lola would thrive with a patient, confident adopter who can offer her gentle guidance, consistency, and reassurance as she continues building her confidence. She doesn't need someone to push her beyond her comfort zone, but rather someone who will help her discover, that the world isn't such a scary place after all.

If you want to be the lucky person to give Lola her forever home, please fill out an application on our website, www.gwarp.org/adopt/dog and text Gabi (volunteer and Lola's foster) at 646-919-5461 to follow up.

Adoption fee is $500.

***PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT APPS OR INQUIRIES ON PETFINDER AS WE DO NOT RECEIVE THESE***
