Meet Lola!

We committed to Lola, a sweet but completely emaciated dog from Pasco County Animal Services. She was a deadline plea because of her medical needs which so far include diabetes, wounds on her leg, severe cataracts, and a heart murmur.

We have no idea what this poor girl has been through, but we know she hasn't had an easy life. Thanks to an amazing rescue village, we were able to find a foster that can take care of her and show her the love she deserves while she recovers. We took her straight to the vet and unfortunately her glucose levels are too high to read and she's very dehydrated. The good news is she is showing lots of personality and she's definitely a fighter.

Her glucose levels are finally normalized, and she has slowly been gaining weight. She is spayed, and available for adoption. Her ideal home is as an only dog or with lower energy pups since she is partially blind from her cataracts.

All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need.
