County Line Pet Hospital's Adoption Policy
All stray dogs and cats that come in and are unclaimed after 7 days are behavior tested and then placed up for adoption. We will have individuals who are interested in a pet fill out an adoption application. once that application is submitted, our adoption committee will review said application. Once approved we will call the potential adopter and set up a meet and greet with them and any other pets that are in the household. This applies to any other dogs that are or may be in the house, cats are ok to skip this process. We are always willing to set up several meet and greets if this would work best for potential adopters. If the meet and greet(s) go well we will then schedule the adoptable pet to be spayed or neutered if this still needs to happen. If the pet is already spayed / neutered then this pet can leave as soon as 24 hours after a decision is made. When the new owners come to pick up their new pet - we will need then to bring in payment and a leash / carrier for their new pet.
