Meet Lola <br/><br/>Age: ~1-2 years<br/>Weight: 37 lbs<br/>Breed: Shepherd mix (best guess)<br/><br/>Lola is a young mama who is starting to figure out that life can be pretty good.<br/><br/>She's a quieter, more sensitive girl who bonds deeply with her people. Once she feels safe, she is incredibly affectionate - the kind of dog who will happily spend hours curled up in your lap. She loves being near her person and really thrives in a calm, predictable home.<br/><br/>Lola is especially fond of her squeaky balls - she'll carry one around proudly and even chase squirrels with it in her mouth, which is pretty impressive multitasking.<br/><br/>She does take time to warm up to new people, especially men. Lola is not a dog who will greet strangers right away - she prefers to observe, take things in, and decide when she's comfortable. With patience and consistency, she is already making progress and has begun warming up to the people in her foster home.<br/><br/>In her foster home, Lola:<br/><br/>Is very dog friendly and enjoys being part of the pack<br/>Is working on house training and doing well with routine<br/>Loves toys (especially anything that squeaks)<br/>Bonds closely with her person and enjoys lap time<br/><br/>Lola will do best in a home that understands shy dogs and is willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe.
