Meet Lola
Hi, my name is Lola and I'm an approximately 2 year old female shepherd/blue heeler mix. I'll only be adopted to homes in Hanover County, Virginia, or the Richmond, Virginia metro area.
I'm sweet girl, a little on the timid side. I love to play fetch, and I'll bring the ball back and put it in your hand every time. I do like to snuggle with my humans once and awhile, but I'm not needy. I am hit or miss with other dogs. Usually, large dominant dogs I don't get along with. Calm respectful dogs I seem to do okay with for the most part - but again...its on a case by case basis. I would probably do best in a household with no small children, and as an only pet. I walk well on a leash. Its unknown if I'm housetrained, but I'm pretty respectful of my inside run at the kennel and don't make a mess. Unless you plan on leash walking me for my potty, you'll need to have a tall fence to keep me in. A 4' or 5' fence probably won't cut it, I'm a prolific fence jumper.
If you want to meet me, go to the Hanover Humane Society website:
https://www.hanoverhumanesociety.org/adoptions/adoption-application/
and fill out the adoption application. It doesn't obligate you to anything, but once the Adoptions Committee reviews the application, the Committee will contact you.
