LOKI's Story

Loki (A109358) is an 11-year-old Ak Husky who weighed a little over 50lb on intake! 07/18/26 These sweet old brothers are Trym and Loki! While we are not requiring they be adopted together, they are quite fond of each other. So maybe consider the pair, if you have the time and space! They were surrendered to the shelter due to their owners moving. They were described as being initially shy but quickly become friendly and affectionate after warming up to you. They know some basic commands, such as sit, come, lay down, outside, kennel and enough. They were said to be great children and curious about strangers. They have experience with dogs, cats and even livestock like horses and goats. Please use caution if planning to introduce either of these boys into a home with other animals. They are looking for a home to live out their golden years in. Loki has been known to eat cat toys from time to time resulting in him having two surgeries to remove them so it is very important to monitor them and make sure they arent getting into things they shouldn't. However both boys are comfortable in kennels and do well being kennels when unattended. They do have experience living in fenced in kennel runs outside however have never lived on a chain. If you are interested in giving a retirement home to Trym, Loki, or the pair, please give us a call!
