Loki's Story

Meet Loki!

At 7 years old, Loki is getting his first chance to discover what life as a beloved family dog is all about. Rescued from a puppy mill, much of his past remains a mystery, but every day he shows us a little more of the sweet dog hiding beneath his shy exterior. He is only about 40-45 lbs and the perfect sized fluffy companion.

Loki can be reserved when meeting new people, but once he feels comfortable, he absolutely loves attention and being loved on. Watching him learn his name and discover the world around him has been a joy. He's still figuring out commands and all the things that many dogs learn as puppies, but he's making progress every day and catching up on lost time.

Loki does well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play with. We are unsure how he feels about cats. He is working hard on house training and understands that outside is the place to go, though occasional accidents can still happen as he continues to adjust to life in a home.

This handsome Husky is looking for a patient family willing to help him continue building confidence and experiencing all the love he's missed out on. In return, you'll get the privilege of watching a deserving dog blossom into the companion he was always meant to be. He is fully vetted. Puppy Mill Rescue Team 's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION POLICIES The Puppy Mill Rescue Team’s dogs are placed into adoptive homes within 60 miles of the foster home. We have foster homes in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Macedonia, OH. When applying for a specific dog please check the profile to see where the dog is located. If you are not in this area and are looking to adopt, we recommend that you visit our Rescue Partners area or Petfinder.com to locate a rescue in your area. A legally binding Adoption Agreement must be signed at the time a dog is placed. The adoption donation varies and is included in the dog’s description on the website as well as in the Adoption Agreement. Adoption donations are not negotiable and payment must be made in full prior to or at the time of the placement of the dog. Please read prior to submission of an application for adoption. All potential homes must complete our adoption process which includes an application, meet and greet, home inspection and veterinary reference. Applicants must provide veterinary references if they have previously owned a pet and contact veterinary facilities to authorize release of their records to a PMRT representative upon request. Applicants who rent their homes must verify that they are permitted to have a dog and provide a landlord contact number on the adoption application. Landlords will be contacted in every case, no exception. The primary adopter must be at least 21 years old. We are solely committed to the dogs accepted into the rescue. We want to find them loving, permanent homes and go to great lengths to place the right dog into the right family. We reserve the right to decline any adoption based on what we feel is in the best interest of the dog.
