Loki is about 1 year old and he is a gsd mixed with Shiba Inu who came up from Texas. Loki was born and lived on the streets being watched over by a group of homeless people. One day he came back to camp with an injury on his leg so his guardians flagged down animal control and ask if they would take him to see a vet at the shelter. Being a street pup he is cautious with people, places and new things. However, he does warm up pretty quick. Loki is a wonderful little dude, weighing in around 45 pounds, and such a happy little boy. He loves to run, sniff the ground and play with any toy you toss for him. He knows how to fetch and play tug. Loki is dog door trained, but will let you know when he needs out by going to the back door if you do not have one. He is crate trained and has good manners. He knows a few commands and is getting better riding in the car. Walking on a leash is super scary for him so he needs a family who will be patient on teaching him new things are safe. Because he was never socialized with dogs he is a little over the top with them and would do best as the only dog. We do not see him living with cats for the same reason, getting way to excited and wanting to play rough, but then again, if you are experienced he can learn. Older children who can understand his being shy at first and giving him time should be ok. Loki is very loving, playful, funny and a joy to be with so please give him a chance to win you over. A fenced in yard is a must for Loki, no apartments please
