LOKI's Story
Meet LOKI

Loki is an 8-pound, 2-year-old male Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix (our best guess) with the most unique coat ever. It reminds me of a '70s shag carpet, but Google Lens insists it's called 'blue sable'.

Loki was found as a stray and taken to ACPS, where no one ever came looking for him. The finders completed a home stray hold and then adopted him, but soon realized he needed more than they were able to give with busy work schedules and their health issues. That's when he found himself on a rehoming page.

With that adorable little face, there were plenty of people interested in him, but I'm so grateful they chose rescue instead. It gives us the opportunity to truly advocate for Loki and find him the committed family he deserves-his FINAL FUREVER HOME.

Loki is adorable, wildly ENERGETIC, absolutely loves playing with every dog in the program, and is an all-around fantastic little pup.

Now... here's where Loki needs his person.

Sadly, one of the top reasons dogs lose their homes is because they aren't fully housetrained. I refuse to let that become Loki's story again.

If I were a betting woman, I'd say this is the biggest reason Loki keeps finding himself needing a new family.

Some dogs simply take longer to learn, and Loki is one of them. Consistency-not perfection-is exactly what Loki has been missing.

Loki will thrive with crate training, short- and long-term confinement, tether training, and a predictable routine. These aren't punishments-they're tools that will help him finally understand what is expected of him. Without that consistency, he'll continue finding himself in the heartbreaking cycle of people becoming frustrated, giving up on him, and **being passed from home to home.

The best part? Loki is the kind of dog that makes you laugh every single day-you just have to be willing to put in the work first. He has enough personality to keep you smiling, enough energy to keep you moving, and enough love to make every bit of that work worthwhile.

Are you the kind of person who sees potential instead of problems? Do you understand that consistency today creates confidence tomorrow?

If you're ready to make a commitment-and stick to it-I think Adventure Buddy Loki just might be looking for you.

Click here to get the ball rolling and apply to be considered: https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/PPFL-A-4067

Adoption radius: 150 miles from Jacksonville, FL
All other pets in the home must be current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered & on heartworm prevention.

Loki will thrive with crate training
