Meet Logan (aka Oliver) a very sweet 1.5 year old neutered male lab/pointer mix, weighing about 72 lbs! This handsome boy has the cutest tan eyebrows that accent his black and white coloring. A total cutie!<br/><br/>Logan was adopted as a young puppy and, through no fault of his own, is now being returned to PRL over a year later. His current family describes him as a "smart, sweet, and loving dog and who loves affection and will lay at your feet so he can touch and be connected" He is an energetic boy who loves playing fetch and running around the yard - he would chase balls all day long if he could! He has good house manners and he knows basic commands ("sit", "lay down", "stay"). <br/><br/>As sweet as Logan is, he is a timid boy who suffers from fear/anxiety when he is out of his comfort zone. His current family reports that he is afraid to go on walks and panics when he hears loud noises (lilke the vacuum). He is also not a fan of car rides. When he is home and in his fenced yard, he is very happy and relaxed and you would not know that he is such a scaredy cat. Logan does well with other dogs, and his family feels that he would benefit greatly from having another dog in the home (ideally a confident, well adjusted dog who can show him the ropes and help him build his confidence). Because he is so nervous on walks, Logan would do best with a fenced in yard where he can safely run and play.<br/><br/>Logan is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
