Logan's Story

Meet Logan The Best Boy You Haven't Met Yet

Have you ever heard of "Black Dog Syndrome"? It's the idea that black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and rescues because they're harder to photograph and don't stand out as much in pictures. If that's what's happening to Logan, it's truly a shamebecause this handsome guy is one of the sweetest, most lovable dogs you'll ever meet.

Hi! My name is Logan, and I'm a happy, playful boy who's ready to find my forever family. While my photos may not always capture my expressive face, goofy personality, and loving heart, everyone who meets me in person quickly falls in love.

I'm currently living with my foster parents and their two adult dogs, and I get along wonderfully with them. I also make friends everywhere I goon walks, at the dog park, and even at the pet store. People are always impressed by how confident, social, and well-mannered I am around other dogs. I love to play, but I also know how to be respectful and read other dogs' cues.

When I'm not hanging out with my canine buddies, you'll find me exploring the outdoors, chewing on tasty treats, napping with my foster family, or soaking up attention from the neighborhood kids. I absolutely adore children and have become a favorite playmate for the kids next door.

My foster parents say they could tell right away that I was ready to experience everything life has to offer. I love adventures, whether that's exploring the backyard, visiting the dog park, or going for walks. Even though I'm curious about the world, I stay close to my people and have great manners. I know commands like sit, stay, wait, look at me, and home, and I'm very patient at mealtime. Food guarding? Not my style.

I'm also fully potty trained and will let you know when I need to go outside. I sleep quietly through the night, happily settle into my crate when needed, and can comfortably hold it for over eight hours. My foster family says I've been a superstar from day one.

At the end of an exciting day, my favorite place is right next to my people. Whether we're relaxing on the couch, cuddling up for the evening, or simply spending time together, I'm happiest being part of the family.

If you're looking for a loyal companion, an adventure buddy, a dog-friendly playmate, and an all-around good boy, I might just be your perfect match. I've been waiting patiently for someone to see past the photos and discover the amazing dog I truly am.

Could that someone be you?

Our standard adoption fee is $465. We offer a $15 discount for adopters who pay by cash or check, making the adoption fee $450.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at one of our participating veterinarians, age-appropriate core vaccinations, fecal test, deworming, current on flea and tick preventative, and microchip.

To ensure the best match for both our dogs and adopters, we require a fully completed adoption application, a phone interview, and a meet-and-greet with the entire household.
