You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Lizzy originally came to the shelter as an owner surrender in Dec., 2019. Her family's life experienced a drastic change and they had no choice but to surrender her. Being surrendered was quite a blow to Lizzy and she was quite shy and shut down when she first came to us. It took a lot of time and hard work by our volunteers to get her to come out of her shell. She is now around 5 years old and we think she's ready to transition into a real home. We think she is a shepherd/lab mix of some kind. Lizzy is fully vetted and her fee is $125.

Lizzy will require a patient and somewhat quiet home without small children. She is wonderful with other dogs but has had no experience with cats. She is an incredibly smart dog who loves toys and swimming. She might need a little basic training but does really well on leash. She will be extremely loyal to her person or people.

We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.

We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
