LIZZIE.......Tripod $350 Chihuahua Mix Milwaukee, WI

I'm Lizzie, a 6 year old female, spayed terrier mix weighing 18lbs. My foster mom says I'm a sweet gentle soul and very quiet. I only use my voice to let her know if someone is at the door, and when I see neighbors walking their dogs, because I'm nosey and want to meet them. Speaking of noses, I LOVE all of the smells outside. Once in awhile I get so focused that Mom reminds me we are on a walk. She tells me I'm such a good girl because I walk nice, always do my business outside and then I get a treat when we get in the house. I'm not really fond about being left alone outside on a leash, but if I had a fenced in yard and could spend time checking out all the smells, I think that would be fun. We have a crate but I haven't used it because I am so well behaved. Mom left me to watch over the house for almost 5 hours and I slept until she came home. She says I'm a great supervisor because I'm always in the same room as she is, mostly on a soft blanket or bed. Oh, and I sometimes snore, which makes Mom smile. As a tri-pawed, rugs are helpful for grip. I can jump on a couch but I need a little help when I sleep with Mom because her bed is too high. So we have an ottoman that works like a step for me. If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home. Meet and greets take place at our adoption center located in Milwaukee. If you are proceeding with adopting a Lucky Mutt, we will require the dog to have a Martingale collar at the time of adoption, to ensure the dogs safety during the transition to a new home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$350+tax for ages 4-7
$250+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
