His previous intermittent coughing has fully resolved.<br/>He receives monthly NexGard Spectra on the 15th and should continue year-round. He eats Orijen Small Breed, has excellent skin and coat condition, and has no known allergies.<br/><br/>🚗 Car Travel<br/>Lisa rides calmly in a car seat for short trips.<br/>For trips longer than about one hour, he may experience motion sickness, including vomiting. Longer travel is manageable with regular breaks, fresh air, and short walks, which significantly reduce symptoms.<br/><br/>🏠 Crate Training<br/>Lisa is over 90% crate trained and responds well to the “house” command. Morning and evening snacks are given in the crate. He enters calmly and rests quietly once inside.<br/><br/>✂️ Grooming & Handling<br/>Lisa is gentle and cooperative with handling. He shows no biting, snapping, barking, or aggression toward groomers and has become more comfortable with each session.<br/><br/>He has not yet had a full bath. Dryer noise makes him nervous, so towel drying and gradual desensitization are recommended.<br/><br/>For dental care, he dislikes spray toothpaste but does well with toothpaste on gauze. He tolerates brushing of front teeth and canines, while back molars are more challenging. When uncomfortable, he may turn his head or try to move away but remains calm and compliant when gently guided.<br/><br/>💛 Personality & Social Behavior<br/>Lisa is a soft, observant, and sensitive dog who forms quiet but meaningful bonds.<br/><br/>👩 With People:<br/>He may hesitate if someone approaches quickly or moves suddenly. He does best when people sit down or gently call his name. He accepts gentle petting, even from new people. He does not enjoy being picked up and builds trust steadily without being clingy.<br/><br/>🧒 With Children:<br/>Lisa has no direct experience with children and is best suited for a home without young children, as sudden movement and noise can overwhelm him.<br/><br/>🐶 With Dogs:<br/>Lisa is neutral and polite with dogs of all sizes. He greets briefly and disengages calmly. He shows no rough play, mounting, or reactivity and prefers peaceful coexistence. He would likely be happiest as an only dog or with one calm, respectful companion.<br/><br/>🐱 With Cats:<br/>Not tested with cats.<br/><br/>🏡 Home Life & Daily Routine<br/>Lisa shows no separation anxiety and does not bark, howl, or destroy items when left alone. He follows his person quietly without demanding attention. He is fully outdoor potty trained, with no indoor accidents or marking observed in foster care.<br/><br/>😴 Sleep & Rest<br/>During the day, Lisa rests on the floor, in his crate, or on a dog bed. At night, he sleeps on the human bed while maintaining respectful space. He prefers soft but simple resting surfaces.<br/><br/>🚶 Walks & Outdoor Life<br/>Lisa walks calmly without pulling. He may startle at joggers, bicycles, or loud vehicles and may pause briefly when frightened. With gentle desensitization, he continues to improve and does best with a calm handler and predictable routes.<br/><br/>🧠 Play & Enrichment<br/>Lisa is not especially interested in toys. He enjoys simple nose work but finds complex puzzle toys frustrating. With frequent success and encouragement, his confidence with enrichment is likely to grow.<br/><br/>🏡 Ideal Home for Lisa<br/>Lisa will thrive in a home that offers a calm, patient environment, predictable routines, gentle guidance, and time to build trust. Moderate daily walks without pressure suit him well.
