Little Bear's Story

Meet Little Bear — A Gentle Soul of the Woods 🐻

Little Bear is a gentle, shy girl who may take a little time to warm up. Once she feels safe, her sweet nature begins to shine through.

She isn’t much of a cuddler, but she does enjoy giving soft, gentle kisses and being near her people in her own calm way. She loves spending time outdoors, relaxing in the yard and enjoying the fresh air alongside her dog friends.

Little Bear gets along very well with other dogs and is just starting to discover the joy of play. She enjoys going for walks and requires a walk to do her business, she doesn’t want to dirty her yard. Her leash skills are still a work in progress, but she’s learning! She knows “sit” and is working on her recall, but it is very much still a work in progress.

Little Bear can be a bit of a picky eater and prefers to graze throughout the day. She currently has some motion sickness on car rides, but may become more comfortable with time.

She sleeps soundly through the night indoors and is a peaceful, easy presence in the home. She does have instincts to chase squirrels, cats, and deer, so she’ll need guidance there.

Little Bear has a beautiful warm fur coat and is very much enjoying the weather outside right now, though she probably won’t enjoy the summer nearly as much!

Quiet, sweet, and full of potential ✨—Little Bear is ready to steal your heart!

Born: March 20th, 2023
Breed: Malamute Mix
Gender: Female
Size: Medium
Activity Level: Medium
Cats: Likely not
Dogs: Yes
Kids: Yes
Adoption Fee: $345

If you are interested in meeting Little Bear, applications can be found here:

http://mgpr.weebly.com/dog-adoption-application.html

Thank you to Sunny S-H Photography for the beautiful photos of Little Bear

Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue's Adoption Policy
The adoption process starts with an application form to find out more information about your family to ensure the best fit for the dog. Applications can be found at http://mgpr.weebly.com/ Second step is to have reference checks and vet checks. We want to ensure all dogs go to responsible loving homes. Thirdly, is the meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting. We encourage all members of your family to be in attendance at this visit as the dog will be an integral part of all of their lives. The final step of the adoption process is a home visit from one of our team members. The home visit allows us to see the environment in which the dog will be living as well as to offer any tips and advice to making your home dog friendly. Then your new family member will come home to shower your family with unconditional love.
