Lionel

Sweet, funny, Lionel came to rescue after his owner moved to assisted living and could not take him along.

Lionel is about 14 years old, rides well in a car and walks well on a leash. He loves attention, and although does well enough in a crate, he would rather be out in the middle of people and the action.

Lionel would love a retirement home where he can get plenty of exercise as well as plenty of naps. He gets along with dogs and people of all ages, and doesn't seem to care much either way about cats.

WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.

If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.

ADOPTION FEE of $ 310 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application.
