He will require joint supplements to make sure his joints stay healthy! Lincoln was overweight when he came into foster care but is now at a healthy weight. He does well with routine feedings to keep the weight consistent.<br/>Lincoln has separation anxiety and will bark when he's anxious. This includes: watching people leave the front door, hearing people in other part of the house that he can't get access to, and sometimes anxious excitement barking when you come home. Lincoln does great a new places and doesn't have anxiety in unfamiliar areas.<br/><br/> Lincoln is a classic velcro pug where he likes to be wherever you are in the home. He's a sweet and loving pug that will be a great addition to a family! He LOVES to be tucked in bed and sleep alongside anyone in the family. One of his favorite things in life is sleeping in, he could stay in bed all day!<br/><br/>He will joyfully follow kids around the house but may try to sneakily steal food out of toddler's hands. He will bark when kids are play wrestling or playing with swords because he wants to be involved with the playing. He loves one on one play and interacting with what is happening in the room! If Lincoln could just sit and snuggle with a kiddo on the couch for hours, he would be content.<br/><br/>Lincoln has cool scar from knee surgery but he plays and runs as normal with no mobility issues! He enjoys playing with his foster dog brothers but prefers to be on someone's lap. He likes to protect the home and guarding the house by watching out the front windows.<br/><br/>He loves going places or on walks and LOVES meeting new people! He's always ready to greet anyone who wants to pet him. Lincoln is a great companion for anyone who likes to take their pug on ride alongs.<br/><br/>If your family is looking for a sweet pug who loves cuddles and spending time with your family inside or in the backyard then Lincoln is great for you!<br/><br/>Are you interested in adopting Lincoln? In order to be able to adopt with us, you must meet the following basic requirements: - You must be at least 21 years of age. - You cannot have been convicted of any animal abuse laws. - The pug must not be a gift or “surprise” for another person. - All pets in the home must be altered, unless a medical reason is provided to us by a veterinarian. - All pets in the home must be up to date on vaccinations per minimum vaccination policy. - You must agree to feed your pug an approved, high-quality dog food (see examples). - You cannot have an invisible fence - If you have a dog door, it must only be used under supervision - If you live in a rental property, you must provide a signed letter of approval from your landlord or other documentation stating you are allowed you to have a pug. - You must agree to pay the adoption donation - If you live outside of Nebraska, you must be willing to arrange safe transportation for the pug
