If you’re looking for a dog who embodies resilience, look no further than our handsome guy, Linc. At 3 years old, this "short and sturdy" Pittie/Dachshund mix (yes, you read that right!) . This is our best guess. He weighs about 30lbs. Linc’s story started with a heartbreak—he was surrendered to a high-kill city shelter and found himself on the euthanasia list. This poor guy hasn't had it easy. Since arriving at Saving Grace, Linc has been diagnosed with both tick-borne disease and heartworms. He has finished treatment for both and proving to be such a brave fighter! Linc’s Favorites: His Dog Friends: Linc is social and truly enjoys the company of other dogs with soft play style. He likes to play rough if he initiates that type of play. Quiet Strolls: While he can't do marathons right now, he absolutely loves a slow, quiet walk to sniff the grass. Second Chances: After everything he’s been through, Linc just wants a place where he is safe, loved, and never has to worry about being "left behind" again. Any Toys: Benebones bring him so much joy! Linc is a unique, sweet soul who has so much love left to give. He’s looking for a hero to take him the rest of the way home. He will be neutered prior to adoption, but we are waiting a bit longer to get into a safe window after heartworm treatment. Could it be you? Saving Grace Rescue LBK's Adoption Policy

Our adoption fee is $225 (locally). This fee goes toward the cost of our vetting expenses for the dog, which includes the dog being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We require an application and home visit for adoption of one of our dogs. We want to ensure our dogs are placed in forever homes and are not in a situation that would be unsafe for the dog or perpetuate the misconceptions surrounding Pit Bulls. We prefer that adopters be at least 21 years old, but we will consider applicants under 21 on a case by case basis - so please still fill out an application. Please keep in mind that we know our dogs well; behavior, temperament, special needs, etc. Any decisions we make are in trying to do what's best for our dogs and the homes that we adopt them into. **If you are adopting out of state and we are sending a dog for adoption through our partner, Project Freedom Ride, the adoption fee is $500 which covers all vetting requirements and transport costs.**
