Lily Posy's Story

ONE BRAVE STEP AT A TIME LILY IS READY FOR FOREVER!

Hi there! Im Lily

I came into rescue with my brother Aster and my sisters Daisy, Rosie, and Poppy, and Ive been learning all about what it means to be loved in foster care. My very first foster home was with an amazing Pyr named Chandler and two wonderful human kids who even helped pick out my name. I think they did a pretty great job.

When I first arrived, I was a very timid girl. Everything felt big and new, and there were lots of things I wasn't sure about including stairs. They seemed SO scary at first! But Chandler patiently showed me how its done, and now I go up and down like a pro. My foster family says they are so proud of how much progress Ive made.

Every day, I get a little braver and a little more confident. Underneath my shy beginning was always a very sweet, loving girl who just needed some time and encouragement to shine.

Recently, I moved to another foster home with my brother Aster and my sister Poppy. My foster brother Chandler needs to focus on his health right now, so while Im excited for this next adventure with my siblings, I will miss Chandler and my first foster family very much. They loved me, helped me feel safe, and showed me so much patience and kindness when I needed it most. Ill always be grateful for everything they did for me.

I love being around my people and enjoy the comfort of having a canine buddy around too. Im gentle, affectionate, and such a sweetheart once I settle in. I also recently got groomed and did a fantastic job everyone said I was calm and handled it really well!

I've learned that home life is pretty wonderful... soft places to rest, people who love me, and friends to show me the way.

Now I'm looking for a forever family who will continue cheering me on as I grow into the confident, loving girl I'm meant to be. Could that be you?

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta's Adoption Policy
Great Pyrenees are the southeasts best kept secret. We are a magnificent and majestic breed that is one of the best dogs a family can own - we really are. We are gentle giants loved by all because we combine two characteristics that are hard to beat. First, we are terrific family pets. We are lovable and gentle with children - we love them even when they treat us like massive fluff balls! Second, and where we differ from most house pets, we are protectors. I tend to be the witty observer but my big brother Jenkins is a typical Great Pyrenees and he is amazing as he patrols our property watching for anything unusual. He takes his job very seriously. Great Pyrenees were bred as working dogs and our "job" in the home is to protect our "family". We have regular adoption days - usually every other Saturday from 11am until 1 pm at the Perimeter Petsmart in Atlanta, GA visit our website to see current adoption days
