*A GENTLE SOUL, A BRAVE HEART, AND A WHOLE LOT OF LOVE TO GIVE!*<br/><br/>Hi there! I'm Lily Posy! <br/><br/>I'm a sweet, gentle girl with a big heart and an old soul. My foster family says I have the personality of a wise, loving older dog, even though I'm only a year old! I'm calm, quiet, affectionate, and just a little stubborn. Hey, I'm a Great Pyrenees, after all!<br/><br/>My journey with GPRA began when I arrived with my brother Aster and my sisters Daisy, Rosie, and Poppy. I was a very timid little girl back then, and the world seemed like a big, scary place. Thankfully, my first foster family and their wonderful Pyr, Chandler, helped me discover that life can be pretty amazing when you're surrounded by love.<br/><br/>Since then, I've continued learning, growing, and becoming more confident. I've also had a few challenges along the way, including two corrective leg surgeries. I had surgery on my front leg in June and my back leg in September. I'm recovering well, but I'm still taking things slowly and following my doctor's orders. Right now, that means plenty of rest and short, leashed outings while my legs continue to heal.<br/><br/>And let me tell you, I've become quite the expert at relaxing!<br/><br/>My favorite thing is being close to my people. I love moving from one comfy bed to another, finding the perfect spot to settle down, and keeping my family company. Sometimes I'll just look deep into your eyes with my big, soulful gaze. My foster family says it's one of the sweetest things about me. I think it's my special way of saying, "I love you!" <br/><br/>I'm also a big fan of belly rubs! I love being petted and don't mind having my paws or ears touched. I'm even a good girl when it's time for brushing.<br/><br/>Here are a few more things you should know about me!<br/><br/> I'm a quiet girl! I rarely bark unless something startles me or I hear an unfamiliar sound.<br/><br/> I'm smart! I already know how to sit, and I'm working on my leash manners. The leash still makes me a little nervous, but I'm getting better!<br/><br/> I'm doing great with potty training! I've learned that going outside earns me a yummy treat, and that's pretty good motivation!<br/><br/> I love my toys! I'm still learning that my chew toys are for chewing and things like rugs and furniture are not. My foster family says I'm making wonderful progress!<br/><br/> I enjoy other animals! I loved playing with my siblings and even had fun with some younger puppies. My foster family thinks I would really enjoy having another friendly dog or even a cat to keep me company.<br/><br/> I'm wonderful with children! I've been gentle and sweet with my foster family's grandkids. I can be cautious when meeting someone new, but I warm up quickly.<br/><br/> I have a funny little hobby! I like watching dogs on TV! Who knew there were so many interesting furry friends on that screen?<br/><br/>I'm also a petite Pyr at just 45 pounds! My foster family doesn't think I'll get much bigger, so I'm a little package of Great Pyrenees love.<br/><br/>Because I'm still recovering from my surgeries, I'm not quite ready for big adventures. I'm learning to feel comfortable outside again as my legs get stronger, and I'll need a family who understands that my recovery takes time. My foster family is helping me every step of the way, and I'm making progress!<br/><br/>My dream forever home?<br/><br/>I'd love a calm, loving family who will be patient with me, continue helping me build confidence, and give me all the affection I can soak up. Having a friendly animal companion would be wonderful, too! I think I'd enjoy having a buddy to keep me company, especially since I loved being with my siblings.<br/><br/>I've been through quite a bit for such a young girl, but through it all, I've remained sweet, gentle, and full of love.<br/><br/>I may not be the most outgoing girl in the room, but I promise there's something very special about me. Just look into my eyes, give me a belly rub, and you'll see!<br/><br/>I'm Lily Posy, and I'm ready to find a family who will love me for the beautiful, gentle soul I am. Could that family be yours?
