Lily's Story
YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.

Lily is a very special little girl with quite a story. Born around April 5, 2026, Lily was the only surviving puppy born to her mother. Shortly after her birth, her owner reached out in distress because Lily's mother was very ill and unable to produce milk. Loving Pet Project NC immediately sprang into action, and thankfully an experienced bottle-feeding foster stepped up to care for her.

Named in honor of Earth Day, Lily's story is one of resilience, survival, and love.
Now thriving and full of personality, Lily weighs just 4 pounds. We were told her father was a Dachshund, and her mother appeared to be a Chiweenie weighing about 14 pounds. Sadly, Lily's mom did not survive, making Lily's successful journey even more remarkable. Based on her parentage and current size, we expect Lily to remain a small dog, likely under 15 pounds when fully grown.

Having been hand-raised from a very young age, Lily has grown up surrounded by love and attention and has blossomed into a happy, healthy puppy.

Lily is funny, sweet, and full of personality. She can be very outgoing and adventurous, especially when playing with her larger foster dog sister, whom she absolutely adores. At other times, she can be a little shy and thoughtful as she explores new situations. Like any young puppy, she is still learning about the world and will need a family committed to continuing her socialization, training, and house manners.

As a young puppy, Lily is still working on potty training and learning the routines that come with being a well-mannered family member. Because of her tiny size, any children in the home should be gentle and respectful. She would also benefit from a home that understands puppies require patience, consistency, and lots of positive experiences as they grow.

Lily will be ready for her new home after receiving her second puppy vaccine around the first week of July. For her safety, she must be kept out of public places and away from unknown dogs until she receives her third vaccine in early August. She will be placed as a foster-to-adopt until she is old enough to be spayed.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful, curious, and affectionate companion who has already overcome so much in her young life, Lily may be the perfect match. This little bottle baby beat the odds and is now ready to find a family of her very own.

Adoption donation $450

Lily is sponsored by All Pets Considered, Advocate Partner.
