Lily's Story
Everyone, meet Lily!

Kids: Teens maybe
Dogs: Well matched
Cats: No thank you

This girl seriously has no bad days. We could all take a page from Lily's book and approach life with the same joy and positivity she brings every single day.

Lily is as social as they come! She absolutely loves meeting new people and is always excited to say hello. She is still working on her enthusiastic "party animal" greetings—and let us tell you, that happy tail has gotten every one of us! (If you know, you know. )

Lily is a playful, happy-go-lucky girl who loves her toys and will often greet you with one proudly carried in her big Mastiff jowls. She truly is a sweetheart.

Lily previously lived with another dog, and we think she could do well with a well-matched canine companion. However, due to her exuberant personality, we don't think a cat would appreciate sharing a home with her.

At just 1 year and 3 months old, Lily is still learning her manners. She hasn't had much formal training, so she will need a family who is patient and willing to help her continue learning. Lily would benefit from fear-free, positive reinforcement training using food-based rewards to help her build confidence, learn basic manners, and strengthen the bond with her new family.

The good news? Lily is incredibly kind, eager to please, and loves being around her people. We think she will be a wonderful student with the right guidance and consistency.

Lily is currently recovering from a urinary tract infection. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. Once she has been medically cleared, she will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home.

Lily's adoption fee is $350 plus tax.

If you're interested in adopting this lovable goofball, the next step is to complete an adoption application using the link below and submit it to shelter@newwestcity.ca for review.

Application: https://www.newwestcity.ca/database/files/library/NWAS_Dog_Adoption_Application_2020.pdf

Petfinder Bio: https://www.petfinder.com/dog/lily-e5a624c5-6462-4872-8626-942a36aad0f7/bc/new-westminster/new-westminster-animal-shelter-bc105/details/

If you have any questions about Lily, please feel free to email us or give the shelter a call at 604-519-2008.

We can't wait to see this joyful girl find the forever family she deserves!
