Lily's Story

Meet Lily: Your Gentle Giant and Adventure Buddy!
Age: 6 years old

Breed: Anatolian Shepherd

Status: Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for her forever home!

About Lily
Are you looking for the ultimate mix of outdoor adventurer and certified couch potato? Meet Lily! At six years old, Lily has mastered the art of balance. She is a magnificent Anatolian Shepherd with a heart as big as her paws.

Lily is a true loyal companion. Whether you’re heading out for a weekend hike, exploring new trails, or just tackling the daily walking route, she is up for the adventure. But once the exploring is done, her absolute favorite place in the world is right next to you on the couch for a serious snuggle session. She’s a gentle giant who believes she's a lap dog—and she just might try to prove it!

What Lily’s Ideal Home Looks Like:
The Social Scene: Lily has lived with other dogs successfully in the past! Because she is a guardian breed who likes to take her time getting to know new friends, she does best with a slow and structured introduction to new canine companions.

Felines & Little Humans: We are still actively testing Lily’s comfort level around cats and young children. For her safety and everyone else's, a home with older children or adults (and a cat-free environment for now) would be her current sweet spot while we see how she does.

Space to Stretch: Given her breed, Lily appreciates having a bit of room to stretch out and relax (and maybe a secure yard where she can survey her kingdom!).

Why Lily is Special
Lily is past the chaotic puppy stage and brings a calm, mature, and deeply affectionate presence to the home. She is smart, devoted, and looking for a human (or family) who understands and respects the independent, loving nature of her breed. If you give her a little patience as she settles in, she will reward you with a lifetime of unwavering loyalty and top-tier snuggles.

Ready to Meet Lily?
If you think Lily would make the perfect co-pilot for your next adventure and your nightly movie marathons, we would love to chat with you

Eddy's Nomads Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Eddy's Nomads Dog Rescue is committed to placing each dog in a safe, loving, and permanent home. Every adoption application is reviewed individually, taking into consideration the dog's needs, the applicant's lifestyle, experience, and ability to provide lifelong care. Our adoption process may include an application, reference checks, veterinary reference (when applicable), interviews, and a home visit or virtual home assessment. We believe there is no one-size-fits-all home, and we focus on making the best match for both the dog and the adopter. We provide full disclosure of each dog's known medical and behavioral history and remain available to offer guidance and support after adoption. If an adopter is ever unable to keep their adopted dog, the dog must be returned to Eddy's Nomads Dog Rescue rather than being rehomed elsewhere.
