Lilly Cattle Dog & Retriever Mix Palatine, IL

This is not your typical lily. Delicate? Nah, that's not her. Fragrant? Well, maybe after a groom. Our Lilly is an approximately 2-year-old, 45 pound, snow-loving Cattle Dog/Retriever mix who enjoys belly rubs and snuggling more than sitting around and looking pretty.

Though she was found as a stray, Lilly is easy-going with new people and very friendly. She does well on a leash while out for a walk, but tends to be a slow walker because she stops to sniff and listen frequently. Lilly loves to run around the backyard and comes back when she is called even when in hot pursuit of a pesky squirrel.

Housebroken, Lilly will either bark or stand by the door if she needs to handle some business. While okay with the crate, she is a bit hesitant when being put in it. She has no food issues and takes treats very gently, unless you leave them on a counter, at which point she may help herself. Lilly gets along well with the resident dogs and she loves to chase birds and squirrels.
