Lilly's Story

Age: 1 year; 7 months
Weight: 6.5 lbs.
Adoption Fee: $500
Fostered in Indian Trail, North Carolina
Email: yorkiemommync@yahoo.com

11/11/25 - Please welcome Lilly to YHR. She is an adorable little girl that is ALL puppy still! She loves attention, playing with toys, trying to get other pups to play, and snuggling next to you at night in bed. She will let you know when she wants something by barking. We are working on the barking to get her to stop when she does not need to bark. She has been known to take things that are not hers, like slippers or paper or anything that drops. She will eventually drop it for you, but initially makes it into a game. She also jumps up on anything she wants to or even crawls on low shelves. She will need some help with learning what is right and wrong. She loves to go outside and will run out the door quickly. She can be timid with new people, but once she gets to know you she will want all your attention. She has snapped at a few people out of fear, but if you go slow and give her time she is fine and does not snap at all. Working on training and socialization will help with that. She has gotten better with strangers when she went to the vet twice. She does currently have Ehrlichia canis, which is a tick-borne disease. She is on antibiotics that will clear it up for her.
