LILLY's Story

Lilly (A139053) is a 2-year-old husky mix who weighed nearly 50 lbs at intake! 08/01/26 Miss Lilly was returned to the shelter because she was not adjusting to indoor life very well in her most recent home. Lilly was said to have become destructive, and she needs some help mastering potty training. Lilly does have experience living outside from her previous home, and she does seem comfortable in a sled dog yard with other dogs nearby to keep her company! She can be shy around strangers but she is an absolutely sassy husky once she gets comfortable! She got a full brush out on intake by the care staff, and she had some OPINIONS about it! Give us a call, if you are looking for a sweet, silly girl who just needs a little fine tuning! 07/11/26 This sweet, shy girl is Lilly! Lilly was brought to the shelter because the neighbors kept complaining about the beautiful songs she sings when alone. Lilly is used to having at least one dog buddy around, so when she lost her partner in crime she expressed her sorrow in song form. Miss Lilly has lived both inside and outside on a tie out. She was said to be kennel trained, housebroken and mushing/skijor trained! She was said to generally mind well and to do well with most humans. She can be shy around strangers, and she does not have experience around babies. She loves other dogs, and she is curious about cats and will follow them around. Please make sure any and all introductions are done in a safe and controlled manner, and keep in mind that some cats may not appreciate being shadowed by a 50 pound dog. She loves affection and was described as shy but friendly, affectionate and gentle. Lilly has been known to dig, but she was said to generally mind well and to do well in the car. If you are interested in meeting Miss Lilly, please give the shelter a call!
