Lilliput-Unwanted :('s Story

"Putt" as we call her, has been with us for quite a good while. It's heartbreaking to watch such a precious, good minded girl continue as just a "number" at our rescue. Putt just wants love, she wants to lay on a fluffy dog bed in the living room with you and she prefers to stay "under the radar," with the activity here. Putt has very short molehair, that seems to never shed. She goes belly-up when you reach to pet her, because she loves belly rubs. There has never been an easier dog to have on our farm. She NEVER bothers the horses and showed no interest in the house cat. Sure, she may be 5-6 years old, so not a puppy and she might have some pit in her, but we guarantee, an adopter, who doesn't mind to give her 2-3 days to adjust to a new home (because she is shy at Meet N Greets) , will expose the sweetest, most perfect guest you could ever hope for. Putt does NOT like aggressive behavior as it worries her. Once 2 dogs at the rescue here, got into a tiff. Putt, ran, as fast as she could to the furthest edge of the farm and watched from a distance. She has NO interest in meanness whatsoever. Putt's a lover, not a fighter!!!! She is like a ghost when you put her in her crate at night, it's so easy to forget she is there, because she is so quiet. She will sleep on the bed with you, too, and won't get up until you get up. No destroying furniture, getting into the trash, nada. Her recall is wonderful and when outside for play and potty, she stays in the yard, usually getting atop the pile of hay bales and waits until you open the door to come inside. Putt is a wonderful companion who deserves to be someone's one and only........if someone would just give her a chance!!!!

All American Dawgs's Adoption Policy
We require an approved adoption application. A verifiable commitment to your pets health and safety is tantamount to our adoptions. We want to ensure each adoption will be a good match for each adopter so we thank you for providing information via your application. We want their new homes to be the last stop for our great dogs. Your completed application can be returned via text message, Facebook message on our Facebook page (www.FaceBook.com/AADawgs), by email at Allamericandawgs@gmail.com or snail mail to All American Dawgs, PO Box 524, Rockport, IN 47635. Once we process your application and you have been approved (2-3 days), we will work with you to arrange a mutually convenient Meet N Greet. All potential adopters must meet their new dog in person and we encourage adopters to bring their other dogs at this time. At the Meet N Greet we provide you with all shelter documentation and details, veterinary records and our adoption contract. (Please note if future events require you to give up your dog, the dog is contractually required to be returned to All American Dawgs.) You may spend as much time as you like with your potential new companion and we will answer all questions that you might have. Should the adopter choose to adopt, the dog gets to go home with his new family! Our adoption contract must be signed, adoption fee of $200 is required at this time and is non-refundable. Please have a potty routine pre-planned with an indoor kennel or crate to give your newbie a successful new start. We do not adopt out any dog as housebroken (whether they are or they are not, since they will have accidents until they become acclimated to their new home and routines) Enjoy your new family member and make great memories together. Our dogs are represented all over the United States, from California to New York, to Upper Minnesota to Texas and everywhere in between. They are military veteran service dogs, they are disc dogs, ranch dogs, they compete in agility, obedience trials, they are hiking buddies, dock dogs, traveling companions and most importantly, they are best friends and dogs of a lifetime.
