Lexie's Story

Meet Lexie!

Lexie is a sweet, happy-go-lucky 1 year-old Border Terrier mix weighing about 38 pounds. She has a charming wiry coat, a constantly wagging tail, and a heart full of love. From the moment she arrived, Lexie was excited to meet her foster family-especially hoping to win over the resident "grumpy" Chihuahua with gentle play invitations and cozy cuddles nearby. Lexie will do best in a home where someone is home most of the time or she can go with you places.

We have found, Lexie does okay in a crate for short periods of time.... However, she'd do best with a family that will let her free roam or works from home and only kennels occasionally.

Lexie has the classic Border Terrier personality: friendly, affectionate, and people-oriented. She does have some basic anxiety if left alone for long periods of time so we don't recommend she be without another dog in the home. She loves being close to her humans and would happily curl up beside you after a day of play. She gets along well with other dogs, is great with people, and while curious about cats, she is respectful and gentle.

She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Lexie is treat-motivated, eager to please, and enjoys chew bones. She is currently working on house training and adjusting nicely-she's had a busy few days and is settling in well.

Lexie would make a wonderful addition to a family oriented home. She's ready to find a family to call her own

Being fostered in Taylor, WI

My adoption fee is $200 and you can see more about the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org.
