Lexi-I26040's Story

Meet Lexi-I26024. A Pembroke Welsh Corgi female, red tri, with a DOB 11.27.20. She is spay, vaccinated and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $450.00 plus MN State Sales tax.

Lexi is a people lover and she'll let you know it. If you're busy working on your computer she'll "gently" nudge your hand until you take a much needed break and give her some attention. If you resist she'll just walk on your keyboard. If she hears a loud noise she'll be coming for your lap in seconds!

If you are serious about this dog, please go to our website and fill out an application: https://faerielandrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

We do not adopt our dogs to folks who live in apartments

Other than that, she is pretty well mannered, haha.

So far, her dog interactions have been limited but she's done well with a larger dog and not well with a smaller dog. She has some herding tendencies that other animals may view as being aggressive. After a couple days of trying to herd our cat they eventually figured things out and are now co-habitants of the same house. It is unknown how she would do with another dog in the house, but her initial info said she needed to be an only dog.

She does need a lot of exercise which is pretty easy because she loves going for walks. She has a pretty strong prey drive so would do best in a fenced yard that she can explore freely. During the day, she's done well confined to a small area of our house and will keep herself occupied with her basket of toys. That said, she does appreciate a lot of attention and belly rubs.

We've been working on "come" and "sit" and she's been a pretty quick study.

She has been reactive with small children and is still a little unpredictable. We'd recommend a home with children 13 and older.

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed and been approved.

We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our rescue dogs to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system. We don't adopt our dogs to folks who plan to have the dogs living outside 24/7 the majority of time or living in a kennel type environment.

FaerieLand Rescue's Adoption Policy
FaerieLand process is the following: You can view our pets on Petfinder or the website. We require an application with a paid $25.00 application processing fee, with 2 personal & 1 vet reference along with a home visit prior to doing an adoption. Most of our dogs do better in a fenced area vs running loose. We match our rescues with current families according to current family members (IE: adults, children, teens), current pets(IE other dogs, other animals) and location, experience, level of activity, personality of the dog, temperament of the dog and want each dog to find their Furever home. Applying for a dog does not entitle you to adopt one of our dogs. German Shepherds & Welsh Corgis are herding dogs and need a job. They are not good dogs for apartments or small spaces. They require exercise every day. They require training and socialization to become a well rounded family member.
