She has some herding tendencies that other animals may view as being aggressive. After a couple days of trying to herd our cat they eventually figured things out and are now co-habitants of the same house. It is unknown how she would do with another dog in the house, but her initial info said she needed to be an only dog.<br/><br/>She does need a lot of exercise which is pretty easy because she loves going for walks. She has a pretty strong prey drive so would do best in a fenced yard that she can explore freely. During the day, she's done well confined to a small area of our house and will keep herself occupied with her basket of toys. That said, she does appreciate a lot of attention and belly rubs.<br/><br/>We've been working on "come" and "sit" and she's been a pretty quick study. <br/><br/>She has been reactive with small children and is still a little unpredictable. We'd recommend a home with children 13 and older.<br/><br/>As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed and been approved.<br/><br/>We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our rescue dogs to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system. We don't adopt our dogs to folks who plan to have the dogs living outside 24/7 the majority of time or living in a kennel type environment.
