Lexi's Story
Meet Lexi

If you're looking for a dog that's eager to learn, loves being part of the action, and wants to be your teammate, then you need to meet Lexi.

Lexi is an approximately 7 - 8 month old, 23-pound mixed-breed puppy who appears to have some Border Collie and/or Australian Kelpie in her family tree. While we can't know her exact breed mix, one thing is obvious—this girl is smart!
Lexi approaches the world with curiosity and thoughtfulness. When she first meets new people or finds herself in a new environment, she's a little cautious. But give her just a little time, a kind voice, and a few treats, and you'll quickly see her confidence blossom. During her photo session, she went from quietly observing everyone to happily interacting with new friends in less than 30 minutes.

Once she trusts you, Lexi's playful personality shines. She loves exploring, playing, and learning new things. She's already proving to be highly trainable, with excellent focus for such a young puppy. She enjoys having a job to do and seems happiest when she's learning alongside her people.

Lexi is doing wonderfully with her manners, too! She:
Crates beautifully and sleeps quietly through the night.
Is about 95% house-trained.
Is learning her basic commands.
Is learning appropriate puppy manners around older dogs (sometimes she just needs a gentle reminder that not everyone wants to play as much as she does!).

We don't yet know how Lexi does with cats or young children, so any introductions should be made thoughtfully.

Lexi would thrive with an adopter who enjoys spending time with their dog—whether that's hiking, training, exploring new places, or simply teaching her fun new tricks. She has a nice balance of energy: active enough to enjoy adventures, but not so over-the-top that she can't settle down afterward.
Most of all, Lexi is looking for someone who will appreciate what makes her special: a bright mind, a willing heart, and a loyal spirit that's just waiting to grow.
If you're looking for a best friend who's ready to learn, ready to love, and ready to build a lifetime of adventures with you, Lexi may be the perfect match.

Lexi is waiting to meet her forever family. Could it be you?

Please contact: info@wagsfundrescue.com to learn how to meet her.
