Lewis's Story
Meet Lewis! Lewis came to CCHS with his two siblings towards the very end of December from a local farm. This handsome Jack Russell Terrier mix is about 13 weeks old and weighs roughly 17.9lbs currently. Lewis is a loverboy! He has a ton of puppy energy left but he likes to use most of that energy in getting as close to you as he possibly can! We can't say for certain what his exact breed makeup is, but we can tell you he is 100% Velcro Dog! With any puppy, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Apply for Lewis today!

Please note the "Start Your Inquiry" button to the right above is not submitting your application. You can also go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!

Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response.

The adoption fee is $400. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.

CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.
