Leroy's Story

***PLEASE NOTE*** This is just a courtesy post: Leroy is NOT with Farfel’s Farm & Rescue.

Please do not inquire or apply through Farfel’s — this is a courtesy post to help the people who rescued Leroy from their vet find him a new home.
For all inquiries, please contact Dani at 720-938-1333.
Leroy's rehoming fee is $250 to help cover his vetting and neuter, which have all been done for his new owners.

Meet Leroy! If you’re looking for the ultimate cuddle buddy, look no further. Leroy is a wonderful 7 year old boy who has been through more than any dog should, and somehow, he has come through it all with his sweet, goofy, loving personality completely intact.

Leroy was sadly surrendered to his vet by his family when he developed a life-threatening blockage that required surgery. They were unable to afford the procedure and, instead, asked the veterinary staff to euthanize him. But the staff had fallen in love with Leroy and simply could not let that happen. They asked his family to surrender him to them, and they did. The veterinary staff then came together and used their own money to pay for his lifesaving surgery. A month later, they even covered his neuter so that Leroy could be healthy and ready to find the loving home he deserves.

One of the vet staff members took Leroy home to foster him, and he has made a full recovery and is doing absolutely amazing!

Leroy is fully potty trained, incredibly gentle, and happiest when he is right beside his person. He sleeps in bed with his foster every night and most nights, he even puts himself to bed!

Leroy is also a total goofball who loves going for walks and learning new things. He already knows how to sit, lay down, shake with both paws, and patiently wait for his meals, and his foster is currently working on teaching him how to spin. He is a smart boy who clearly loves having fun with his people.

Leroy is very social and gets very excited when he sees other dog friends. When he is one on one with another dog, he does a great job matching the other dog's energy. He is dog friendly, loves making friends, and enjoys getting out into the world. He especially loves visiting PetSmart, where he happily meets all the people and dogs he can!

Most importantly, Leroy has never met a stranger. He absolutely loves people, and everyone who meets him seems to love him right back. He is affectionate, gentle, silly, social, and incredibly sweet.

Leroy was worth saving. He deserves his happily ever after!

Rehoming Fee: $250 (to ensure a committed adopter)
Location: Westminster, CO
Contact: Dani at 720-938-1333.

Disclaimer: The dog you are interested in is a courtesy post. Farfel's Farm & Rescue often helps dogs outside our organization to find their forever homes, and these are called "courtesy posts.” By courtesy posting pets from owners and other rescues, we offer our website as a resource to help their pet gain extra exposure. The pet’s bio comes directly from the owner or rescue, and we expect them to provide accurate information, to the best of their knowledge. Farfel's Farm & Rescue in most cases has not met or evaluated these dogs, so no information about a courtesy post dog is guaranteed. We cannot accept responsibility for any injury or damages to any person or property caused by any courtesy post animals. Courtesy post pets are the sole responsibility of the owner and the adopter. In addition, Farfel's Farm & Rescue cannot take these pets in if the courtesy post adoption does not work out.
