Leonard Brittany Spaniel New Orleans, LA

Leonard is a 3 yo Brittany spaniel, believed to be about 3 years old and 35 lbs, although he’s underweight. He was found as a stray in rural Louisiana and rescued just before he was scheduled to be euthanized.

Leonard is the bestest boy! He loves kids and all humans and just wants to snuggle with his people. He is a Velcro dog and strives to please.

Leonard has lots of energy and loves his daily walks if you're looking for a running buddy, he can absolutely push you to your PR running pace!

Leonard is up to date on all vaccines and is HW negative. He's ready for a home to call his own!

An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
