Leo's Story

Hi, I am Leo, a 1-year-old Dachshund/Hound mix weighing about 20 pounds. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas, and these days I am making up for lost time by soaking up every bit of love and attention I can get. I am a happy little guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I am being fostered in Adrian, Michigan.

My foster says it is obvious I have lived in a home before because I came in already housebroken and settled into the routine right away. I absolutely adore people and will happily greet you at the door with a wagging tail, ready for scratches, pets, cuddles or whatever attention you are willing to share. I also have one very important obsession: stuffed toys. You will almost always find me carrying one around because every good boy needs a favorite stuffy by his side.

I get along great with other dogs, have been wonderful with everyone I have met, including kids, and my foster says I am just a very good little boy. I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Now all I need is a forever family that will love me as much as I will love them.

Please apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/6a10abd83c3a29961a0986bc

If interested, please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder.
