NOTE: Unless you have previously adopted from St. Louis Senior Dog Project, we require a complete application for you to be considered as an adopter for one of our dogs.<br/><br/>Meet Leno! He is one special 10-month-old, 10 lb., Chihuahua/Min-Pin boy. Leno was born with skeletal abnormalities in his hind legs, which affect his gait. On X-ray, it appears that his kneecaps did not develop and there were most likely muscles that did not fully develop. While it does mean he walks a little differently, he can navigate around the house and in the yard surprisingly fast! Leno would do best with a fenced-in yard as he cannot walk for distances on a leash. Leno is an inquisitive, busy puppy that loves to play and snuggle. Leno has found his voice and can be a vocal guy (he does bark and has what can only be described as a puppy scream if he is startled or excited).<br/><br/>Thanks to a very kind donation, Leno was fitted with a wheelchair cart, and he is learning to use it 15 minutes a day. Leno can go up and down a couple of stairs, but full flights can be difficult for him. He would need someone who can carry him if stairs are in the home.
