Meet LENNY
Meet Lenny! Lenny is an absolutely adorable 1-year old cattle dog mix looking for his forever home. He is neutered, up to date on shots, housebroken, crate trained and move in ready! Lenny was raised with a loving family since he was a puppy, but unfortunately two of the family members have developed severe allergies. He is no longer able to get the attention he craves and deserves.
Lenny would absolutely thrive with an active couple or a family with an older kids (5 and up, maybe?) . We say older specifically just because he’s still so young and has a high level of energy and occasionally jumps up, though he’s definitely getting better at self-control when he’s excited! He’s very obedient and is great at sitting still and waiting for his food.
He LOVES to play, whether it’s with people, cats or dogs. He does chase after the family cat, but the family cat is practically a dog at heart and gives it right back to him! Of course not every cat is going to be into that, but Lenny would be great with cats that are used to puppies. He does *usually* listen when we tell him “no”, so we think he would learn quickly if cat wrestling was off limits!
Lenny is SO affectionate and just wants to be petted and loved on. He does has a lot of energy but as long as he gets some play in, he’s content. He isn’t destructive to the house at all - though he loves to destroy toys. He does pick up little things in his mouth so you have to watch him, but he doesn’t destroy things he’s not supposed to. Lenny is not a barker, but he is talkative and will grunt at you to let you know when he wants something. (It's a cattle dog thing!) He will also whine at the door to let you know that he needs to go out.
Applicants must live within 60 min of Hamilton, NJ to be considered. A vet check will be conducted for each application and a solid vet history for current and past pets will be verified.
