He is a sweet boy who mesmerizes you with his intent eyes. He is a sweet, shy boy who needs another doggie friend to sleep, cuddle, and be friends with. He gets along with all dogs and cats but is mostly shy around people. Lenny is quiet and gets scared easily. After a few months in his current foster, he's finally becoming more comfortable trusting people and being touched and held. He will need lots of patience, love, and willingness to give him time to adjust. He's neutered and is working hard on his potty training. **Lenny will have to take heart medication vetmedin for the rest of his life 2x a day for a heart murmur. He is stable and will come with a 3mo supply of his medication.

All potential adoptive parents must fill out an adoption application, have a home inspection (dogs only) and a vet reference. We take great pride in finding good homes for our stray and abandoned companion pet friends. All pet adoptions include, up-to-date shots, heartworm checked (dogs), FELV/FIV checked (cats), dewormed, vaccinations for age at time of adoption, have monthly flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention (dogs) and microchip (inserted or provided) Half Way Home Animal Rescue DOES NOT have a shelter; all animals are awaiting their forever homes in loving foster care. By having pets in foster care, we are able to get a jump start on training, learn their unique personalities and ensure they are a perfect match for you! Once you have submitted your application to us via email. If approved, we will arrange for a private meeting between you and the pet. When meeting a pet we also offer you the opportunity to ask fosters and volunteers questions in order to get to know the pet and be sure this will be a great fit for everyone.
