Leigh is a sweet, gentle girl who is discovering that the world is a pretty wonderful place-and she's ready to find the people she can discover it with!<br/><br/>Leigh can be a little shy when she encounters something new, and sudden movements may startle her. But don't let that fool you-she's making wonderful progress! Take her somewhere busy, like a brewery, and you'll find Leigh happily settling down to quietly observe everything happening around her. She isn't loud or demanding and has a lovely, calm presence.<br/>Once Leigh decides you're one of her people, get ready for the cuddles! This girl LOVES to snuggle and soak up affection. She may need a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she'll happily show you just how loving she can be.<br/><br/>Leigh is great with kids, cats, and other dogs. She's housetrained, crate trained, and trustworthy in the home-she's basically got all the important grown-up stuff figured out! She's also VERY food motivated, which means treats are an excellent way to convince her that new things might actually be pretty great. She's eager to learn and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement.<br/><br/>Leigh is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, but her future family doesn't have to worry about the cost. Freedom Ride Rescue will continue to cover her heartworm treatment even after adoption.<br/><br/>What Leigh really needs is someone willing to let her confidence bloom at her own pace. Give her patience, consistency, encouragement, and plenty of snuggle time, and you'll get a devoted companion who is so happy to be yours.
