Layla A198449 VIP

VIP: Layla is about 3 years of age. She is amazing with children and likes to sleep with them if allowed. If not, she will sleep in her crate. She is very playful and so smart! Layla knows the commands sit, stay and lie down. She is good with other animals too. Layla likes to play with balls and chew on bones and pigs ears.
Layla visited a local fire station recently and she traveled well uncrated in the backseat. She laid down and sunbathed the way to and from the station. Layla was very interested in the sounds at the Fire station more interested than getting pets, but she did enjoy some pets from the Fire personnel. She is very sweet and does love the attention. She also went on a group dog walk to a park along with other dogs from the shelter. Layla was very excited when she saw the harness! She knows what that means: PUPS WALK! She rode well crated in the truck and was very patient while loading/unloading from her crate. Layla walked very well on leash and did not pull much. She met some adults and kiddos along the walk and was very friendly and patient while meeting with them. Layla was very tolerant with passing cars and was not bothered by leaf blowers and an active vacuum truck. She's a great walking partner! Layal was adopted from us when she was a tiny puppy and now needs a new home.

Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done.
Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. When asking about an animal, please provide the identification number that starts with A.
For more information, please call the shelter at 972.769.4360.
