Meet Layla
Layla is our longest canine resident; she has been in the shelter since September of 2022. We are unsure of Layla's background as she was brought in as a stray. We have gotten to know her very well in her time that she has been here. She is very smart and can be seen on the shelter TikTok working on leash walking (she had one of the worst habits of pulling). She is very food motivated; knows a few tricks like sit/shake/down. She loves to play fetch and run outside in our large dog runs. The reason that Layla has had such a difficult time finding placement is that she is going to require a certain type of home. Layla is timid when she meets new people, especially men. She will require time to warm up to you, but once she does she is ready to be your new best friend. As you can see by her PetFinder ad, she does not do well with dogs or cats. She would make a great companion in a single pet home!
