Laverne German Shepherd Dog & Anatolian Shepherd Mix Belvidere, IL

Laverne was found on August 31st, 2023, in the country along with her sister Shirley. A nice gentleman found them both and kept them safe and cared for while trying to find their owner. Unfortunately, their original owner has never been located and the gentleman could no longer care for them so on November 9th, they were brought to the BCAS shelter. Laverne has been extremely timid and shy since her arrival. When she goes out to the play yard she runs around and enjoys the outdoors. She was vaccinated with Distemper combination & Rabies vaccine, and Heartworm 4-dx tested negative, on 11/9/23. Laverne had pre-anesthesia blood work (all normal) and spayed on December 6th, 2023.
Laverne is a young mixed breed that will need devoted time and effort. To the best of our knowledge, she is not housebroken. She will need a patient guardian to introduce her to good house habits.
