Larry's Story

Larry was found stray in rural Virginia with two other male Beagles, Curly and Moe. They are all active, playful, healthy young Beagles and have similar personalities. They are good with other dogs and enjoy running and playing chase games. Like many hounds and Beagles from rural Virginia they have probably lived outside with each other and a pack of dogs. Each might be most comfortable in a home with another canine companion. They are curious in a new setting and will need some adjustment time; tentative when meeting new people but do warm up with a little patience. They have not been very barky and are quiet most of the time. Moe, Curly and Larry are about 2 yrs old, with weights of 26 - 27 lbs, and will arrive in Massachusetts May 16.

If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below.
Application link (please copy and paste into your browser's address bar)
https://ws.ishelters.com/application.php?k=coonhOUnd&t=Beagle%20Adoption

About our rescue
We are a foster based rescue. Larry is from Northeast Coonhound Rescue

[Lexington, MA]

Our Mission
Coonhounds and beagles are abandoned in shelters because in many parts of the country they have very little value as pets. They are often kept outside in pens and sometimes do not even have names. They are sometimes viewed as 'hunting equipment' and will even have numbers or symbols painted or tattooed on them. But hounds...
