Lane's Story

Meet Lane!

This 3-year-old, 68 lb sweetheart recently got a break from shelter life during a Dog's Day Out, and he showed everyone just how easy it is to be with him.

Lane rode beautifully in the car, explored a Sniffspot, enjoyed some treats, and proved himself to be an excellent houseguest. He appears very housetrained, tolerated a bath without any complaints, and happily snoozed and cuddled with his volunteer once he got comfy.

While Lane can be strong on leash at first, especially when he's excited, he settles down after getting some energy out. He knows sit, loves treats, and is incredibly affectionate.

Lane also showed positive interest in other dogs throughout his outing, greeting them with a loose body and wagging tail. At the end of the day, he returned to his kennel easily, though his volunteer admitted she was sad to bring him back.

If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants to be your shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your adventure partner all in one, Lane might be your guy.

As always, we strongly recommend that resident dogs meet any new potential canine family members. If bringing a resident dog for a dog to dog test, please bring proof of Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines.

To meet/adopt, visit us in Greensboro, NC from 12-4pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed.
