Check me out! I am a sweet little Chihuahua/Terrier mix named Lana, and I’m ready to steal your heart. I am about 2.5 years old, weigh 16.2 lbs, and I was abandoned in the parking lot of a San Antonio senior living facility with my 4 little puppies. It was scary and confusing, but I was a loving mama, staying focused on keeping my little family safe and fed, and thankfully, one of the residents called a rescue for help. These days, my puppies are weaned and getting ready for adoption, and I'm living in a foster home, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, healthy, happy, and ready to find a forever home!<br/><br/>My foster mom wants you to know I am an absolute angel, sweet, friendly, easygoing, and playful, just a bit shy when I first meet a stranger. I love humans and other dogs, and maybe a kitty cat if I ever meet one. I am learning about dog toys and have recently picked a favorite yellow chew toy. I haven't run zoomies yet, but my resident dog roommate is a senior dog who lives here, so I’m very calm with her. I love my people, and I love being loved. Not really velcro, but if there is no room in your lap, I will be beside you with my front paws on you, as a gentle way to ask for pets and kisses. I am very well-behaved in a home and seem familiar with living in one. I rarely bark, don't potty inside, dig in the yard, or guard my food or toys. I currently sleep in a crate, but I'd be the happiest girl in town if I could sleep in bed with someone. I’m an excellent passenger in the car, and I enjoy walks and getting better on a leash... not pulling... just trying to stay beside you without getting lost.
